How the program started?

Marginalized and tribal adolescents and youth face structural discrimination, which is a huge obstacle to practicing their rights. Promoting or advocating for these rights means addressing the specific challenges and barriers that adolescents and youth face in exercising their rights. There is a need to identify those particular challenges, including their context and perspectives, which necessitate understanding their rights.

First, we aim to conduct research studies on the prevailing environment and approaches to youth development in the state of Madhya Pradesh. We plan to research the various policies and programs of the state government for youth & adolescent development. This will help us in identifying successes as well as critical gaps in the current interventions, which can then help in building a case and advocating for the governmental adoption of the youth-centric approach.

Second, continuous collectivization of youth, youth led organization and organization working with youth at District, Regional and State level for advocacy of youth centric development and youth rights through campaigns. We aim to organize quarterly/half-yearly meetings of this Collective for sharing of learning’s, insights and best practices in youth engagement and campaigns on youth rights from time to time.
